Every dance season, Freestyle Dance Academy highlights each one of our dancers who are preparing to graduate high school in our annual Senior Spotlight.

Freestyle Dance Academy “Senior Spotlight”

Julia Tempestini ~ Central Bucks South Class of 2018

Meet Julia…

Julia was one of the first dancers at FDA when the studio opened. She has been part of Freestyle Dance Academy performances for groups such as the 76ers, Union, Temple University, and more. Julia has also volunteered at FDA, working with special needs dancers, and been a member of the FDA Performing Company.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be attending Temple University for Speech Pathology.

Do you have any plans that involve dance?

I will be joining a dance team/club while at Temple!

What is your best Freestyle Dance Academy memory?

My best Freestyle Dance Academy memory was meeting so many people with the same passion, and watching myself grow as a dancer over the years.

What will you miss most about FDA?

I going to miss my teachers the most. I have learned so much and grown so close with them, that not only are they my teachers, but also my friends.

How long have you been dancing with FDA?

I have been dancing at Freestyle Dance Academy since it opened. S0 almost six years! I was the only one in my class at first!

Besides dance, what are some of your interests and hobbies?

Along with dance, I sing, play piano, babysit, volunteer, and spend time with those with special needs. I also work, and spend time with my family.

A Note from FDA:

Julia, we refuse to believe you are a senior! Welcome to the Owl Club (from Colleen and Tony). It seems like yesterday when you walked through the dance studio doors for your first dance class at Freestyle Dance Academy. We are so proud of the young lady you have grown up to be! You have such a big heart, and will go on to do great things working to help change others’ lives. Your journey as a dancer has been amazing to watch, and we hope you keep dance in your life. We have had the privilege of sharing so many experiences with you, and to see the bright light you can be for others. While we could never forget you, it won’t be the same not seeing you every week! Freestyle Dance Academy will always have its doors open for you, and we hope you will come visit us often. ~ Love your FDA Family
